Music of the Moment
Hey guys!
So this week’s theme for
the blog is Music of the Moment. I hope you guys enjoyed Romane’s post. If you
haven’t read it yet please go check it out!
On to my music of the
moment.
This past month there have
been three albums that I have been switching between this month or so.

The first one is, of
course, Nick Jonas’ self entitled album. I have been a fan of him and the Jonas
brothers since 2006/2007. I think it was when I was in eighth grade. I wasn’t a
huge fan of his album with his band, Nick & the Administration, it was okay
but not totally my style.
This album however, is so
my kind of music. Like it’s very R&B/Pop and right now in these cold winter
months, it’s perfect for cozy time. Also the album is so him. I just love the
entire thing!
My top songs are:
1. Wilderness
2. I Want you
3. Jealous
Another album that I have
been absolutely LOVING is Jonghyun’s solo debut mini album, BASE. I knew that I
was going to like it because Jonghyun (a member of k-pop group SHINee) has
always had a good taste in music and a velvety voice. I was so excited to hear
what he came up with!
I know there have been some
mixed review with this one because a lot of people wanted something more
k-poppy like SHINee songs but this album isn’t SHINee, it’s Jonghyun. So it’s
not going to be the same or similar at all because his taste in music is
different. The album is similar to Nick Jonas’ actually but much more R&B
and Soul. It’s only 7 songs but they are so smooth and beautiful. I can’t get
enough of his voice!
My top songs are (This was
much more difficult than I thought):
1. Deja-Boo
2. Mono-Drama
3. Beautiful Tonight
This last mini album is by
a new rookie k-pop group: Gfriend. They released ‘Season of Glass’ as their debut
album. I have been listening to a couple rookie groups but they have been my
second favorite. (my favorite is Red Velvet btw). Their debut song, Glass Bead,
is very reminiscent of Into the New World by Girls’ Generation which is my
favorite debut song ever by anyone. So I just sort of fell in love. Then I got
the mini album and I have to say that all three tracks on there are amazing!
[Note: The mini album has five total tracks one is an intro and one is an
instrumental.]
Lastly I just want to
mention my JAM of the moment which is:
Like a Cat by AOA
Not trying to sound like a
hipster but I have been a fan of these girls since their debut. I have loved
almost everything that they’ve come out with. This is my favorite song so far. From
Elvis to this it has been quite a transformation and I have loved it!!
So….that’s it! I hope you
guys enjoyed this. I listen to a lot of music so every threw or so weeks it
changes but this is what I’m listening to at the moment. Please feel free to
leave suggestions or comments. I love listening to new music and discovering
new artists.

P.S. I have also been
listening to Taylor Swift’s new album as well. My favorite song is Wildest
Dreams. I didn’t include it in here because Romane already talked about it in
her post.
